Shout out to Chance The Rapper for spearheading the new Hip Hop trend of having a full choir instead of regular backup singers during a live performance. Don't get me wrong, choirs have long been a part of a rapper's live act (i.e Snoop Dogg's riveting 1994 MTV Awards live performance of "Murder Was The Case," and Coolio's legendary "Gangsta's Paradise" set during the 1996 Grammy Awards) but Chance has been doing it on a consistent and equally captivating basis.
2 Chainz recently performed his Quavo and Gucci Mane assisted hit "Good Drank," with a little help from The Roots and a group of swagged-out soul sangers (yeah, I spelled it correctly) at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Who knew trap music could sound so heavenly? Kudos to Derek Watkins better known as Fonzworth Bentley for leading the unconvential chorus.
